This project was conceptualized by the University of the Philippines Geology Alumni Association (UPGAA) as part of its commitment for sustainable development of the Philippines.
 
 

Geotourism is a buzz word which are now being implemented in various countries. Geotourism simply means a fusion of geo (earth) and tourism. Tourism means traveling for recreational, leisure, business or educational purposes.

Geotourism is tourism that enhances or sustains the geographical character of a place (on earth), its environment, culture, heritage and also the well-being of its residents
