The golf tournament is held annually around the middle of the year during the last week of June or first week of July. The event is organized UP Geology Alumni Association, Inc. in partnership with Society of Filipino Foresters, Inc. in order to raise funds for their respective projects and for the joint tree-planting activity held within the year.
